Like the Veternet website, the Veternet logo badly needed a cleanup and polish. The new logo recycles the paw brand mark from the existing logo for familiarity, but is cleaner and has more visual impact

Quarterback Pub & Eatery
The new owners of the Quarterback Pub & Eatery in Bellingham wanted to expand the scope of the business to focus more on international sports (e.g. soccer, etc.) and needed a logo that reflected the shift. Although changing the name wasn’t an option, we agreed that shortening the name to The QB would be acceptable to all involved, while providing me with the flexibility to move away from the previous football theme.
The new shield-and-banner logo borrows heavily from traditional old-world pub signs. If you’re in Bellingham, the QB is a great place to have a beer and watch a game or shoot some pool.

LizardHost
New UK-based hosting provider LizardHost contracted me to create a logo and visual identity for the fledgling company. We felt a lizard would be both too obvious and too cartoony, but at the same time I wanted to incorporated the name of the company into the brand mark somehow.
In the end, I settled on the distinctive shape of a gecko hand as the primary mark for the company, with sturdy lettering to denote reliability.

ClassBud Logo
Upcoming educational collaboration service ClassBud needed a simple logo that didn’t detract from the content around it and would support the elementary education theme of the site.
I immediately thought of penmanship paper from my own early education, and designed the logo around that framework.

Super M Music
Indie record label Super M wanted a logo with a strong Western flavor that was still cool enough to stick on a rock record. The combination of Old West typefaces with modern arrangement gives the logo enough of an edge to represent the company.

Drayton Archaeological Research
Drayton Archaeological Research wanted its namesake, Drayton Harbor, incorporated into its logo. The odd shape of the harbor proved challenging, but I ultimately settled on a bounded silhouette with a woodcut effect.

ToneDoctor
My job with the ToneDoctor logo was to take an idea the client had—the caduceus wrapped around a Gibson Flying V guitar with wings—and turn it into a professional and attractive logo. It is, in fact, rockin’. This is one of those cases where I wish I could claim credit for a client’s idea.
While bringing clients’ visions to life is often a difficult task for designers, in this case the end product surpassed the client’s expectations.

Alaska Summer Hockey Camp
The Alaska Summer Hockey Camp logo needed to communicate the nature (a hockey and outdoors camp for children) and location (Wasilla, AK) of the camp.
I employed a simple shield and bold strokes to reinforce the sports theme, with crossed hockey sticks to single out hockey as particularly important. The outdoors message is reinforced through muted greens and yellows, and the iconic Denali (Mt. McKinley) was chosen to represent Alaska.
